Xero Export Option in the Sales Report
The Sales Report allows users to export files that can be imported directly into XERO.
Steps for Xero Export
Navigate to the Sales Report under Reports > Sales > Sales via the main menu.
Fill out the report filters as required (Note: The Report Type filter should be set to either Invoiced or Delivered).
Set the Display Mode to Xero Export.
Run the report.
Select the invoices to include in the export.
Click the Export Selected Invoices for XERO button to download the file.

Prerequisites for the Xero Export
The following details must be set up for the Xero export to function properly:
Contact Name
Tax Types
Account Code
Contact Name
The ContactName for each customer in KNAPS must match the ContactName they have in Xero.
This will ensure all invoices are assigned to the correct existing contacts and prevent Xero from creating duplicate customers.
Tax Types
The Inclusive Tax Type Text Value and Exclusive Tax Type Text Value are for populating the TaxType column of the Xero export file.
For tax-inclusive sales, the column will display the Inclusive Tax Type Text Value.
For tax-exclusive sales, the column will display the Exclusive Tax Type Text Value.
To set them, navigate to Store Settings > Sales/Till, scroll down to the Xero Report Settings section, and enter the name of each tax type from your Xero account in the Inclusive Tax Type Text Value and Exclusive Tax Type Text Value fields.
Account Code
The Account Code is the code for the main sales/revenue account in Xero where all sales from KNAPS will be recorded.
To set it, navigate to Store Settings > Sales/Till, scroll down to the Xero Report Settings section, and enter the primary sales account code from your Xero Chart of Accounts in the Account Code field.
