Certain screens in KNAPS are protected with PIN Codes. This section describes how to disable the PIN Codes for selected Terminals.
Disabling Timeout PIN Codes via the Till Management Screen
Click on Till Management under Admin in the main menu.
Choose the Terminal you wish to disable the Timeout PIN Code for, by clicking on the Edit
button next to the chosen Terminal line.
The Till Maintenance Details section will be enabled.
Click inside the Disable Timeout Pin Code for Terminals field. A drop-down list of available Terminals will be displayed. Choose which Terminal you wish to disable the PIN timeout for.
Once selected, click Save.
The selected Terminal will no longer prompt the user for a PIN code for protected screens.
Extending the PIN Code Timeout Duration
To extend the PIN Code Timeout duration, follow the below steps:
Go to Store Settings.
Click on the General tab in Store Settings.
In the User Access Timeout field, enter the amount of time that is allowed to pass before the system asks the user's PIN code on a terminal. Value entered is in minutes.
Click Update
to save your new settings.
Disabling Sales Staff ID Prompt via the Store Settings Screen
To turn off the Sales Staff ID prompt follow the below steps:
Click on Store Settings in the drop-down menu located on the top right corner of your screen.
Click on the Sales / Till tab.
Turn OFF the Enable Sales Staff ID Prompt button.
